Friday night’s slate of games at the Marshall County Hoop Fest, which included Ballard High School against Kentucky signee Trey Lyles-led Indianapolis Arsenal Tech among its matchups featuring top national recruits, have been canceled or postponed due to inclement weather, Marshall County athletic director Jeff Stokes said.
A revised schedule for Saturday is being worked out.
Stokes said he hoped to have details of the new Saturday schedule by 6 p.m. EST Friday, but that games will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
At least two coaches whose teams had been scheduled to play both Friday and Saturday said they’ve been told they’ll now play twice on Saturday.
Tech coach Jason Delaney said he was informed his team will play Ballard at 11:30 a.m. EST and against Huntington (W.Va.) Prep at 7:30 p.m. EST, although the official schedule hasn’t been released.
Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford said his team also expects to play twice on Saturday, at 1 p.m. EST against Atlanta Sports Academy (originally a Friday game) and 7:30 EST against Tech.
There story will be updated when the official schedule is released.
