Marshall High School sophomore Henry Swett made for a drama-free Division 3 regional diving meet at Haslett High School on Tuesday, winning the event by a 71-point margin.

The defending Division 3 state champion cruised to his second straight regional title with a score of 447.30 — besting second-place Khayman Jones of Adrian who scored a 376.55.

The top 12 divers from each regional advanced to the MHSAA State Finals, March 8-9.

Also for Marshall, junior Kyle Weck punched his ticket to the state finals at Eastern Michigan University with a sixth-place finish, scoring 325.20.

DIVISION 2 AT LAKEVIEW

Regional host Lakeview will send a pair of Spartans to Oakland University for the Division 2 State Finals.

Lakeview junior Jake Budd placed sixth at Tuesday’s regional with a score of 372.80, while senior Weston Wever placed eighth with a score of 317.05.
