WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.-McKinley remained unbeaten Saturday afternoon with a 26-23 win over Williamsville East at East.
McKinley’s backup quarterback Keyon Johnson stepped in for starter Jamar Rutledge and led the Macks to the win. Johnson was 8 for 10 passing for 160 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 70 yards including a 45 yard scamper. He threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Tyrell Wilson and two TD passes to Jeremy Kelly. Kelly caught touchdown passes of 30 and 33 yards.
Da’meal Epps had seven tackles, a fumble recovery and two sacks. Chris Smith had six tackles, one forced fumble and a sack. Quajon Taylor had 13 tackles and blocked an extra point.
McKinley remains unbeaten at 4-0 on the season. They are home against Niagara Falls Friday night.
East opened the scoring when # 55 Chris Tideswell returned a McKinley fumble from the one yard line for a touchdown in the first quarter.
