Meet the 2012-13 All-Shore Boys Bowling Team

School: Jackson Memorial

Year: Senior

Highlights: The anchor bowler for the Jaguars led his team to the third straight NJSIAA Group IV title. He took sixth place in the Shore Conference Tournament with a 627 series. Ormsby put together a monster performance on in what would be his final NJSIAA Individual Tournament. He bowled a 770 and a 760 securing the top-seed in the step-ladder final. Ormsby took home the state title after defeating fellow Shore Conference bowler Kenny Ryan of Ocean.

KENNY RYAN

School: Ocean

Year: 11

Highlights: This is the first selection to the All-Shore team for the Spartan junior. Ryan bowled a perfect game in the Red Raider Classic, and took ninth place in the Shore Conference Tournament. He led his team to a Monmouth County Tournament title this season at the anchor position. He finished the season with a Shore Conference average of 225 pins. Ryan also put together a strong run in the NJSIAA Individual Tournament, finishing with a 1501 and the second seed. He fell to Jackson Memorial’s Mike Ormsby in the state finals.

DON KANE

School: Jackson Memorial

Year: 12

Highlights: This is the second selection to the All-Shore team for the Jackson Memorial senior. Kane once again played a vital role in the success of the Jaguars this year. Along with the sectional and group title, the Jaguars also won both the Shore Conference Tournament and the Ocean County Tournament this season. They also took home the Class B Central title, finishing the year at 42-3. Kane was the South Jersey Individual sectional champion and finished 10th overall in the state with a 1368. Kane also took fourth place in the Shore Conference Tournament with a 646 series.

TYLER WOLFE

School: Manasquan

Year: Freshman

Highlights: It was a breakout year for the Manasquan freshman this season. Wolfe finished the year with a 223 Shore Conference average. He put together a 289 high game and a 768 high series this season. His biggest accomplishment came in the Shore Conference Tournament where the freshman beat out many of the Shore Conference elite bowlers for the title. He bowled a consistent 213, 232 and 227 giving him the top series of 672. The future will be bright for both the Warriors and Tyler Wolfe in the upcoming seasons.

STEPHEN SCHWARTZ

School: CBA

Year: 12

Highlights: This is the second selection to the All-Shore team for Schwartz. He led the Colts to the Red Raider Classic Tournament victory. The Colts also took home their third straight Class B North title, finishing the season with a 50-4 record. Schwartz averaged 212 pins and was the runner-up in this years Shore Conference Tournament. Schwartz shot a 213, 246 and 207, giving him 666 pins in the SCT. Schwartz will be attending Monmouth University in the fall and plans on majoring in biology.
