Unbeaten in her high school cross country career, Baxter is the first repeat champion in Nike Cross Nationals Final history. A three-time state XC champion and the first ever three-time Gatorade Girls XC Runner of the Year from California, Baxter, a junior, shattered the course record at the 65th Mt. SAC Invitational by 16 seconds in 2012.

- Won her second consecutive Nike Cross Nationals Final championship with a time of 19:17 on the 5K course
- Went unbeaten and captured the 5K Division I state championship in a course-record 16:40
- Broke course record at the 65th annual Mt. SAC Invitational by 16 seconds, covering the 2.93-mile course in 16:00. Also broke course marks at the Woodbridge Invitational, the Marmonte League Championships and the Southern Section Championships
