Merritt Island will host Palm Bay for the district lead next week.
Titusville drove 80 yards in just under a minute to move within 24-21. Josh Wayner capped that drive with a 30-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Gullikson with 6:28 left.
David Smoot recovered a Meritt Island fumble two plays later, but the Mustangs forced a three and out to erase the miscue. Gordon Macy pressured Wayner into an incompletion on third down to end the drive.
Smith then either ran or passed on every play to help Merritt Island run out the final 4:58.
