Height: 5-foot-10
Weight: 160 pounds

Athletic achievement: He scored 18 goals and passed for 13 assists this past season, leading the Rams (17-3-4) to the Division 1, District 4 semifinals. The 2012 Michigan Soccer Coaches Association’s Mr. Soccer, Lewis was a 2012 Dream Team selection and an All-American honoree by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He concluded his prep soccer career with 58 goals and 39 assists.

Academic excellence: Lewis has maintained a weighted 3.73 GPA.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally as part of a literacy-outreach program, as a youth soccer coach and on behalf of a fundraising campaign to benefit breast cancer research.


“When we played Rockford, it was clear Dewey Lewis was the best player on the field every time he touched the ball,” said Aaron Dean, head coach of Grand Haven (Mich.). “He was the only player this year that after the game the entire team was like ‘What that kid did today was amazing.’"

THE FUTURE: Lewis will attend Michigan State.
