Cottonwood Mingus’ Heather Calandra joined two others as two-event individual winners in Saturday’s state meet at Mesa Community College and lifted her team a repeat championship in the process.

“We had a lot of holes to fill coming into the season,” Mingus coach Yancey Devore said. “The girls stepped up and battled for points. Calandra gave us a lift.”
