MINNEAPOLIS – Minneapolis North pushed its record above .500 with a 50-19 victory over Minneapolis South Friday afternoon.
Polars’ running back Keyon Thomas converted a short touchdown run in the first quarter putting North up 6-0. Later in the first, North quarterback Tyler Johnson hit Thomas over the middle for a 70-yard touchdown putting the Polars ahead 12-0.
South would answer back with kick returner Payton Bowdry’s 78-yard kick off return for a touchdown in the second quarter. South dropped to 2-3 while North moved to 3-2.
