Position: RHP/1B

Height: 6-foot-3

Weight: 215 pounds

Athletic achievement: He has led the Cardinals to a 13-3 record and a berth in the sectional tournament, scheduled to begin May 25.  Entering the postseason, Shore owned a 4-0 record and 0.27 ERA on the mound, along with a .429 batting average and 12 RBI at the plate. He has struck out 32 batters in 26 innings pitched, scattering 14 hits and four walks.  A First Team All-State honoree, Shore was the Metro Player of the Year as a junior and was a Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason High School Third Team All-America selection.

Academic excellence: Shore has maintained a 3.74 GPA.

Exemplary character: A devoted member of his church youth group, he has volunteered on behalf of youth baseball programs and Feed My Starving Children, which sends meals to malnourished children around the world.


“Shore is the real deal,” said Jeff Stoll, head coach at Champlin Park (Champlin, Minn.). “He throws hard, but he’s got a nasty slider and a good change-up too. He’s tough to hit and he doesn’t walk many batters.”

THE FUTURE: Shore has signed with Florida.
