Grade: Senior

Position: RB

Height: 5-foot-9

Weight: 190 pounds

Athletic achievement: The state’s returning Gatorade Football Player of the Year, Warmack led the Wildcats (14-0) to a second consecutive Class 6 state championship this past season. He rushed for 2,221 yards and 30 touchdowns on 251 carries. A returning Class 6 First Team All-State selection, Warmack also hauled in 20 catches for 347 yards and three touchdowns in 2013. He rushed for 2,279 yards and 40 touchdowns on 255 carries as a junior during Blue Springs’ 2012 Class 6 state title run.

Academic excellence: Also a basketball and track standout, Warmack has maintained a 3.96 GPA.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally as a youth football instructor.


“He represents everything that high school football is about,” said Ty Kohl, head coach at rival Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North. “Not only is he an exceptional player, but he carries himself with the utmost of character on and off the field. Great player, great kid.”

THE FUTURE: Warmack has verbally committed to Kansas State.
