Junior post player Ricky Dunnaway scored 13 points to help lead Oakland to a 50-43 win over host Franklin on Monday night.

Teammate Daulton Smith added 10 points for the Patriots (1-2). Oakland returns to action on Monday when it hosts Independence.

GIRLS

Oakland 54, Franklin 40: Sophomores Ansley Eubank and Elaina Smith scored 12 points apiece for the Lady Patriots (2-1).

Cornersville 40, Eagleville 36: Nicole Duke led Eagleville (1-2) with 12 points.

Junior Varsity

Girls

Riverdale 60, Shelbyville 44: Dajah Messenger led Riverdale (1-0) with 15 points in the win.

Freshmen

Boys

Smyrna 70, Summit 27: John Turner and Percy Whitaker had 10 apiece for Smyrna (1-0). Devin Sims and Cason Thompson each added nine.

Shelbyville 71, Riverdale 62: Sidney Bell led Riverdale with 26 points. Teammates Lavonte Martin and Gentry Bonds added 15 and 11 points respectively for the Warriors (0-1), who travel to Lebanon on Thursday.

Middle Schools

Girls

Christiana 51, Stewarts Creek 41: Morgan McCrary scored 15 points to pace Stewarts Creek (2-1) in its first loss of the season. Brinae Alexander added 13.

Blackman 50, Central Magnet 8: Jaida Bond led the Lady Flames (3-0) with 10 points. Jaleah Goff added nine and Jamie Alexander had eight.

Siegel 41, La Vergne 28: Derryan Johnson led the Lady Cavaliers (2-0) with 14 points.

Whitworth Buchanan 33, Rockvale 23: Leah Johnson, Raven Marable and Jenny Kinard all scored nine to lead Buchanan (1-0).

Boys

MTCS 39, Eagleville 38: Nate Howell scored 14 points to lead MTCS (9-3) to the overtime win. Teammate Steven Turnham added seven points.

Siegel 43, La Vergne 38: Marcellis Martin led all scorers with 21 points to pace Siegel (2-0). Teammate Joseph Anderson added 10. Mahum Tasesse had 10 to lead La Vergne.

Oakland 54, Smyrna 11: Brandon Thomas led the Chargers (1-0) with a game-high 11 points. Teammates Brandon Dickerson and Keishawn Davidson had 10 each. Christian Etley led Smyrna with six.

Whitworth Buchanan 52, Rockvale 49: C.J. Murray led all scorers with 20 points to pace Buchanan (1-0). Teammate Robjay Bush added 15. Jerry Young led Rockvale with 12 points.
