Mountain Vista beat Bear Creek 16-14 Thursday night in a non-league game at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood.

Brock Rubley hit Rocco Palumbo on fourth down late in the fourth quarter to put the Golden Eagles on top for good. Mountain Vista moves to 2-1 and will play Arapahoe next Thursday.

This was Bear Creek’s first defeat of the year and the Bears will take on ThunderRidge next Saturday.
