The Neenah High School girls’ 3,200-meter relay team of Claire Knaus, Jennifer Parker, Jessica Parker and Alison Parker finished 12th in the 12-team final at Friday’s Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

The Rockets foursome finished with a time of 9:19.87, which bettered their time of 9:25.89 from Thursday’s qualifying run.

Columbia High School of Maplewood, N.J., dethroned two-time defending champion Edwin Allen High School of Clarendon, Jamaica, by a half-second to win the event. Columbia ran a time of 8:56.37, while Edwin Allen finished in 8:56.86.

Both of Neenah’s times are the fastest by a Wisconsin team this season. The Rockets team is the two-time defending WIAA Division 1 state champion in the event.
