Athletic achievement: He batted .427 with 15 home runs, 54 runs scored, 46 RBI and an .893 slugging percentage, leading the Gaels (34-10) to the Division I state final this past season. A 2012 All-Southern Nevada selection, Meimerstorf is a four-year varsity starter who played on three state championship teams and hit more than 40 home runs in his prep career.

Academic excellence: Meimerstorf has maintained a 3.19 weighted GPA.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally on behalf of Matthew’s Closet, an area non-profit organization that provides clothing for needy families, in addition to donating his time as a youth baseball coach for physically handicapped children.


“Kenny Meimerstorf has been one of the most consistent, hard-working hitters we’ve had since he’s been here,” said Bishop Gorman head coach Nick Day. “He’s been one of our leaders and a huge part of our success.”

THE FUTURE: Meimerstorf has signed with Arizona.
