Position: 3B
Height: 5-foot-8

Athletic achievement: She led the Bulldogs (36-6) to the Class 4A state championship this past season. Horvath batted .585 with 17 home runs, 64 runs scored and a state record-tying 87 RBI. She is a First Team All-State selection and the Las Vegas Review-Journal Player of the Year.

Academic excellence: Horvath has maintained a 3.97 GPA.

Exemplary character: She has volunteered locally raising funds for a student stricken with cancer.


“Horvath was outstanding this year,” said Jon Wunder, head coach at Reed (Sparks, Nev.). “She can hit for power, but she can also drop a bunt down and she has exceptional speed. She’s great defensively too, with a rocket for an arm.”

THE FUTURE: Horvath will be a senior next year.
