New Albany’s Tanner Marcum totaled a game-high 27 points, but her last-second attempt to tie the score fell short, and the visiting Bulldogs lost 44-42 to South Oldham (Ky.) in high school girls’ basketball Tuesday night.
Kenzie Beaudrie paced the Dragons (4-11) with 15 points.
Brianne Nixon chipped in nine points for the Bulldogs (5-12).
* Madison 74, Silver Creek 64: Hannah Cain scored 18 points and Macky Hecox added 14 to lead the host Cubs (11-3) past the Dragons (12-4).
Alex Tinsley had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Silver Creek.
* Bedford North Lawrence 62, Columbus East 42: The visiting Stars (14-0, 4-0 Hoosier Hills) led by 17 at halftime and cruised to victory over the Olympians (7-6, 1-2).
Dominique McBryde scored 20 points and Jenna Allen added 16 for Bedford North Lawrence. Audrey Wetzel scored 11 to lead Columbus East.
