Position: Forward
Height: 6-foot-9
Weight: 205 pounds

Athletic achievement: He has led the Crusaders to a 24-2 record, the No. 1 spot in the New York State Sportswriters Association Class AA rankings and a berth in the semifinals of the Class AA New York Federation Tournament of Champions against Abraham Lincoln (Brooklyn, N.Y.), scheduled for Friday. Facey is averaging 14.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots through 26 games. MVP of this season’s Collegiate Tournament, he is rated the nation’s No. 65 recruit in the 2013 class by 

Academic excellence: Facey has maintained a B average.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally on behalf of youth basketball programs and a Hope for Haiti benefit at his school.


“I love Kentan Facey as a player,” said Brian Fuscio, coach at Albany (N.Y.) Academy. “He’s always had a nice face-up game; now he’s come up with a good back-to-the-basket game too, and he rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor.”
