NFC pitcher Cole Sands commits to Seminoles

By

Florida State baseball coaches spent a lot of time at North Florida Christian this season.

With good reason.

NFC sophomore pitcher Cole Sands is the latest Eagle to commit to the Seminoles, announcing his decision on Friday.

The right-handed Sands, who was named USA Baseball 15U National Team last summer, is expected to join older brother Carson at FSU.

Carson Sands, a rising senior at NFC who is also expected to be a top draft selection in 2014, committed to the Seminoles prior to the season. Carson is a two-time Team USA selection.

The NFC-FSU pipeline is well traveled.

Former NFC stars John Nogowski (first baseman) and Gage Smith (reliever) currently play for the Seminoles.

TCC outfielder Nick Gragenalla, who missed the past season with a back injury, will join the Seminoles next season.

NFC senior shortstop-pitcher MT Minacci has also signed with the Seminoles, while junior NFC outfielder Matt Railey has committed to the Seminoles.
