Niwot's Cranny breaks 22 year old state record

By

Niwot’s Elise Cranny broke the state’s 1600 meter record Saturday at the Boulder County Invite.

The previous state record was 4:49.86 and was set back in 1991 by Boulder’s Melody Fairchild. Cranny ran the mile in a time of 4:47.56 besting the mark by more than two seconds. It’s important to note that that is an all-classification record and not just the 4A 1600 Meter mark.
