Three local teams — North DeSoto (Class 3A), Calvary (2A) and Zwolle (B) — have earned No. 1 seeds in the upcoming Louisiana High School Athletic Association baseball playoffs.

The Griffins (25-4) will host De La Salle at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the first round of the 3A playoffs.

North DeSoto is joined in the 3A bracket by No. 15 seed Loyola, which hosts Jewel Sumner, and by No. 24 seed Bossier, which travels to South Beauregard.
In Class 2A, Calvary hosts Lakeview to start the playoffs. Evangel, tri-champion of District 1-2A with Calvary and North Webster, is seeded third and will host Delcambre in the first round.
North Webster earned the No. 11 seed and will host Mamou in first-round play.
Lakeside, of District 2-2A, is the No. 24 seed and will travel to No. 9 seed Rosepine.
In Class 4A, Benton drew the area’s highest seed, No. 5, and will host Salmen in the first round. The winner of that game faces the winner of No. 12 Minden and St. Augustine.
Northwood gave District 1-4A a third first-round home game, as the No. 15 seed Falcons will host Lakeshore.
In Class 1A, No. 8 seed Cedar Creek owns the area’s only first-round home game. No. 17 St. Mary (at Hannan), No. 24 Logansport (at Sacred Heart) and No. 23 Haynesville (at Hanson Memorial) all open the postseason on the road.
In Class B, Zwolle hosts Lafayette Christian in the opening round. Other first-round hosts are No. 4 Choudrant (Avoyelles Charter), No. 8 Stanley (Negreet), No. 10 Converse (Doyline) and No. 15 Castor (Holden).
Class B schools starting on the road are No. 17 Florien (at Simpson), No. 27 Simsboro (at Downsville) and No. 28 Summerfield (at Fairview).
Ebarb (No. 8) and Pleasant Hill (No. 16) are the area’s Class C representatives.
