North Webster enters 'Dirty Dozen'

The top eight teams in this past week’s Times Dirty Dozen high school football won, protecting their places in the pecking order this week.

A banged up Haughton keeps its No. 9 spot with a loss to Parkway, but a short-handed Fair Park slides to the on-deck circle after its third straight loss.

1. Parkway (8-0): The Panthers ‘D’ kept Haughton out of the end zone and held in key situations.

2. Byrd (8-1): Jackets were missing top back Mills, but get back on track vs. Southwood.

3. Haynesville (9-0): Only Franklin Parish has played Tors to single-digit win this season.

4. Evangel (7-1): Eagles have allowed 18 points combined in last four games, including two shutouts.

5. Northwood (8-1): Falcons scored at least 30 points in seven straight.

6. Calvary (5-4): Cavs won last four games by average of 44 points.

7. Ruston (6-3): Bearcats snap two-game slide with 61-13 win over ASH.

8. Airline (5-4): Can the Vikes front slow down Parkway?

9. Haughton (6-3): Bucs want win over Byrd, but want health for playoffs more.

10. Many (8-1): Tigers’ 42-0 win over Oakdale is biggest this season, could top that with Bunkie.

11. North DeSoto (5-4): Griffins on a four-game win streak with Fair Park visiting.

12. North Webster (6-3): Besides Evangel loss, Knights’ last five wins by at least 14.

Baker’s Dozen: Fair Park (6-3)
