The seeds and pairings have been announced for the first Ohio High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Team Tournament, and Northridge was seeded sixth in Division III.

The Vikings will take on third-seeded Amanda-Clearcreek in the state quarterfinals at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Ohio State’s St. John Arena. At the same time, second-seeded Massillon Tuslaw will face seventh-seeded Blanchester. The winners come back at 3:30 p.m. in the semifinals, with the championship match at 8 p.m. Tuslaw was ranked eighth in the final state coaches’ poll.

Both Northridge and Amanda-Clearcreek won regional titles despite not being top seeds. The second-seeded Vikings knocked off No. 1 seed Northmor 43-27 on its home mat in the semifinals, while the third-seeded Aces won 47-26 at top-seeded Bloom-Carroll in the semifinals, and 53-18 at No. 1 seed Shadyside in the finals.

On the other side of the state bracket at 11 a.m., top-seeded Delta, ranked second in the final state coaches’ poll, squares off with eighth-seeded LaGrange Keystone while No.5 Upper Sandusky is taking on No. 4 Versailles. The semifinals are at 3:30.

Tickets are $10 apiece and available at the door. They are good for both Session 1 (the 11 a.m., 1:15 and 3:30 p.m. matches) and Session 2 (the 8 p.m. finals).
