Omro Invitational: The Omro girls track & field team took home second place at their home invite to secure the best local finish at the event.

Omro was led by Moira Kilgas, who took home their lone individual first place finish in the 100 hurdles. Kilgas also took second in the 300 hurdles. Catalina Beriau also secured two second-place finishes in the 400- and 800-meter runs for the Foxes.

Omro’s 400 and 800 relay teams also picked up wins for the Foxes on the day.

The Winneconne girls finished in fourth, thanks to strong showings in the throws. Abby Luedtke, Ashleigh Jones and Holly Van Dam went 1-2-4 in the shot put, while Jones, Carly Christian and Luedtke went 1-2-3 in the discus.

The Omro boys team finished in third place. Sprinter David Thomas took home three first-place finishes in the 100- and 200-meter dashes as well as being on the Foxes winning 800-meter relay team. Logan Krueger also picked up a first place finish in the shot put.

Winneconne finished in fourth place behind Omro. They picked up a 1-2 finish in the discus thanks to Matt Bluhm and Cooper Goss.
