WEST SENECA, N.Y.-Orchard Park blanked West Seneca West Friday night at West, 18-0.
The Quakers scored on their first possession, a Desean Walker nine yard run for a touchdown. Then quarterback Kevin Goltz ran 16 yards for a score and it was 12-0 OP after one. Walker closed out the scoring with a three yard run in the second quarter. Walker finished the night with 136 yards rushing. Goltz was 9 for 14 for 118 yards.
The Quakers defense held West Seneca West to under 140 yards of total offense. The Quakers missed all three extra point tries. Orchard Park also had trouble with a number of snaps especially in the first half, that either the quarterback couldn’t handle or they were simply off target.
West Seneca West missed a couple of key opportunities. In the first quarter a pass for a first down and a big gain was caught out of bounds, and a certain interception was dropped. Shortly after the near interception Orchard Park scored.
