Aaron Roth was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh inning to drive in the game-winning run in Oshkosh North’s 2-1 victory over Kaukauna in a Fox Valley Association baseball game on Tuesday.
Pinch-hitter Alex Madden led off the seventh by reaching on an error, before one-out walks to Sam Hawley and Mike Becker loaded the bases.
Kaukauna’s Dustin Landers then got the second out of the inning, but his second offering to Roth plunked the North batter and Madden walked across home plate with the winning run.
The Spartans tied the score in the fourth inning with consecutive singles by Mike Harvot, Matt Luft and Mike Lee, with Lee’s hit plating pinch-runner Austin Lloyd.
Andrew Winchell scattered seven hits and three walks, while striking out four in going the distance for North.
