* Accomplishment: Klein was named to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State first team.

To earn the honor, athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, a class rank in the upper 25 percent of one’s class, an SAT score of 1,500 or an ACT score of 23.

Chasity Wampler

* School: Richmond

* Grade: Junior

* Sport: Gymnastics

* Accomplishment: Wampler scored 9.800 on vault Saturday, tying for third at the IHSAA Gymnastics state meet in Muncie.

Wampler also finished ninth all-around with a score of 36.750 after a 22nd-place 8.825 on beam, 20th-place 9.100 on floor exercise and 16th-place 9.025 on bars.
