Freshman Matt Turley won his match at third singles for the Patriots (1-0), defeating Travis Peng 6-3, 6-0.
Vikas Daggubati secured the only point of the match at second singles for the Colonials (0-2) by defeating Sooria Suresh 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
HOLMDEL 4, MARLBORO 1: Mike Chen won his match at first singles leading the Hornets (2-0), No. 1 in the Asbury Park Press Top 10 over the No. 2 Mustangs (0-1) in a nondivisional match. Derek Liu won his match at second singles after he defeated David Xie 6-0, 6-2.
Abhiram Saripella and Akshay Reddy secured the only point of the match for the Mustangs at second doubles by beating Ray Wang and Ethan Wong 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
OCEAN 5, MIDDLETOWN NORTH 0: Jeff Chiu won his match at first singles, leading the Spartans (3-0) over the Lions (0-1) in a nondivisional match. Matt Reagan clinched a point at second singles by beating Matt Macheck 6-2, 6-0.
In girls lacrosse
TR EAST 8, BRICK 7 (OT): Angie Baricko scored the game-winning goal with 1:50 left in overtime as the Raiders (2-0, 2-0) defeated the Dragons (0-2, 0-2) in a Class A South game.
Brick’s Sam Kenny scored three goals, and Alli Tray had four assists.
LACEY 17, CENTRAL 6: Senior Lauren Salemme scored four goals including her 100th, and added two assists as the Lions (2-0) defeated the Golden Eagles (1-1) in a Class B South game.
Maura Weaver scored a game-high five goals and had four assists.
JACKSON LIB. 6, BARNEGAT 5: Alex Havens and Mac Staffordsmith each scored two goals as the Lions (1-1) scored six second-half goals to rally past the Bengals (0-2) in a nondivisional game.
Senior Goalie Lauren Vicoso made 18 saves to shutout the Lions in the second half.
RED BANK CATHOLIC 9, SHORE 2: Maeve Cowley and Grace Fallon each had four goals and Sabrina Arbes made three saves as the Caseys (2-0) defeated the Blue Devils (0-1) in a nondivisional game.
Shore’s Lauren Britton and Jordan Hayes each scored on 8-meter shots and Taylor Caldwell made five saves.
PINELANDS 13, MANCHESTER 12: Ali Herbert scored six of her game-high 10 goals in the first half as the Wildcats (0-1, 0-1) outscored the Hawks (1-1, 1-1) in a Class B South game.
Senior midfielder Kelli Serpi scored seven goals, and Sydney Kacek scored five goals for the Hawks.

RB CATHOLIC 2, BARNEGAT 1: The Caseys (1-0, 1-0) captured the final game, 25-13, for a Class A Central win over the Bengals (0-2, 0-1).
The Caseys’ Ryan Farley notched three kills, seven digs and 24 assists. Kevin Brennan added 12 kills and three digs. J.P. Legrottaglie contributed nine kills, two digs and three aces.
For Barnegat, Juston Kovacs scored eight kills. Will Leamon added three kills and three blocks. Keith Lee contributed two kills and four blocks.
MARLBORO 2, COLTS NECK 0: Dylan O’Handley’s 20 assists led the Mustangs (1-2, 1-1) past the Cougars (2-1, 1-1) in Class A North.
Brandon D’Lima added eight kills and 10 digs. Bobby Jastzeski added six kills and Drew Loeser contributed 10 digs. Jack Lind paced the Cougars with nine digs and six kills. Hongliang Zhang added two blocks and nine kills. Dan Clayman contributed 20 assists.
CBA 2, FREEHOLD 0: Dan Andree’s five kills and eight aces propelled the Colts (2-0, 2-0) past the Colonials (1-3, 0-2) in Class A North.
Nick Osborne added five kills and John Gatens contributed four kills and four aces. Freehold’s Joe Bock and Riley Shea notched four assists and two kills, respectively.
ST. JOHN VIANNEY 2, HOWELL 0: The Lancers (2-0, 2-0) were led by Andrew Zimms, Thomas Corbisiero and Christopher Lionette in their win over the Rebels (0-2, 0-2) in Class A North.
Zimms had five kills, two assists and three digs. Corbisiero notched eight digs. Lionette finished with three kills, 15 assists, five digs and three blocks.
For Howell, Peter Wilson finished with eight kills and seven digs. Jason Gillies added 11 assists. Kyle Yuro scrapped for six digs and Jake Brown notched three kills.
