Athletic achievement: She recorded 384 kills, 223 digs, 46 service aces and 42 blocks this past season, leading the Little Lions (18-2) to the Class AAA state tournament. A two-time All-State selection, Leath was ranked as the No. 90 Senior Ace in the country by PrepVolleyball.com.
Academic excellence: Leath has maintained a 3.95 GPA.
Exemplary character: She has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics, youth volleyball camps and a community-inclusion program for students with developmental disabilities.
THE PRAISE
“She has a great all-around game,” said Mike Krause, head coach at Parkland (Allentown, Pa.). “She anticipates well, she varies her swing and she has great presence blocking. She can dominate a game.”
THE FUTURE: Leath has signed with North Carolina.
