Pingry held a narrow 7-0 lead at halftime but the Big Blue dominated in the second half, rolling to a 31-0 victory over Dayton on Saturday.

Touchdown runs from Evan Key, Joe Possumato and a 15-yard touchdown reception from Will McDonald put the game out of reach. Jake Greenberg converted a 20-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Key was terrific on the afternoon.

Along with his 1-yard touchdown plunge, he recorded eight tackles on defense to go with one sack, a forced fumble and an interception.

Other defensive standouts included Jake Moss with nine tackles and Jake Holman’s two sacks.

Kyle Walker led Pingry (3-3) in rushing with 52 yards and quarterback Austin Schmidt had 113 yards through the air.
