Plassche lifts North Hunterdon

In the waning seconds of their Skyland Conference Delaware Division matchup with the Pingry School, Grace Plassche netted the game winner with 24 seconds to go in regulation, leading North Hunterdon to a victory over Pingry on Thursday afternoon, 9-8.

Caroline Jaeger spearheaded a well balanced North Hunterdon (2-0) attack with three goals while Allison Lane provided two goals. Plassche also tallied a pair of goals.

Avery Hatfield netted four goals for Pingry (1-1).

South Brunswick 13, North Brunswick 7: Emily Ryan netted four goals while Marissa Cavett and AnneMarie Rolwood scored three apiece for South Brunswick (2-0). Samantha Mehalick scored four goals for North Brunswick (0-1) while Tatum Atlman contributed one goal and one assist in the loss for the Raiders.

Montgomery
15, Bridgewater-Raritan 8: Natalie Colonna (five goals) and Tori Rudo (four goals) combined for nine of Montgomery’s 15 goals to pace the Cougars (1-1). LeAnn Bak, Emily Howarth, Dayle Paustian and Tracey Rusen all scored a pair of goals for Bridgewater-Raritan (0-2).

Madison
10, New Providence 9: Despite being down 9-4 at halftime, New Providence (0-2) came back in the second half thanks to stellar play in goal from Julia Loria, who made 13 saves on the afternoon. Jill Balog tallied four goals and Emily Molstad provided a pair of assists. Nicole Sanczyk added three goals in the losing effort.

Monroe
14, J.P. Stevens 2: Amanda Salvador netted three goals, including the 100th goal of her career to lead Monroe. Christa Fenton led Monroe in goals with four and Danielle Tominelli added two on the scoreboard as well.

Columbia
15, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 7: Scotch Plains fell behind 12-2 after one half of play and never recovered. The Raiders drop to 0-2.

Montclair
17, Governor Livingston 7: Erica Frezza and Nicole Bendush score two goals apiece while teammates Christine Dilly, Julia Martin and Ryan Shepherd added one goal each for Governor Livingston (0-2).

Ridge 15, Hunterdon Central 1: Five players scored multiple goals for Ridge (2-0) including Devon Brown who netted three on the afternoon. Hunterdon Central’s (1-1) Brienna Reasoner supplied the only goal for Central.

Millburn
11, Union Catholic 7: Morgan Sosnowski gave Union Catholic a three goal and one assist performance but it wasn’t enough for the Vikings (0-2). Ashley Titolo scored twice in the loss.
