BELVEDERE – Polytech blew open a close game in the fourth quarter to defeat Delcastle 30-6 in a nonconference game on Saturday morning.

The Panthers led just 9-6 going into the final stanza but scored 21 unanswered points to win. Alex Winchester started the outburst with a 1-yard touchdown run, while Gabe Brown followed with an 80-yard scoring jaunt and Matt Williams finished it off with a 16-yard touchdown run.

Brown scored on a 4-yard run in the first quarter for Polytech, and Mark Bonnie booted a 30-yard field goal later in the quarter. But neither team scored again until the third quarter when Delcastle’s Roger Heusner hit Briayer Price with a 62-yard touchdown pass.

Brandywine 39, St. Elizabeth 7

WILMINGTON – Tyrezz Walker and Stefon Johnson scored two touchdowns each as Brandywine downed St. Elizabeth 39-7 on Saturday afternoon at Baynard Stadium.

Walker opened the scoring with a 53-yard touchdown run on a fake punt in the first quarter and later scored on 64-yard touchdown run to give the Bulldogs a 33-0 halftime lead.

Johnson scored on touchdown runs of 2 and 90 yards. Sayvon Willis tossed an 81-yard scoring pass to P.J. Groome, and Anthony McGriff ran 18 yards for another score. Khaadim Rider scored the lone touchdown for St. Elizabeth on a 17-yard run late in the fourth quarter.

Friends 35, Moyer 0

ALAPOCAS – Jimmy Carney and Danny DePaulo each scored two touchdowns to lead Wilmington Friends to a win over Moyer on Saturday afternoon.

Carney rushed for 41 yards and scored on runs of 1 and 3 yards. DePaulo scored on a pair of 1-yard runs. Quarterback Jack Kempner went 4 for 9 for 62 yards and scored on a 1-yard run.
