Ponderosa beat Berthoud 6-0 in a quarterfinal match up Saturday at the state softball tournament in Aurora.
A one run game was busted open in the 4th when Ponderosa’s Kendra Dunham drove in two with a base hit to right field. The opposite field single made the score 3-0 and the Mustangs would add three more on their way to victory.
The Mustangs advance to play Erie Saturday morning with the winner advancing to the state final.
Wheat Ridge and Broomfield play in the other semifinal game.
