Pop Warner families called on to attend game

Central Jersey Pop Warner has been given a challenge and a privileged opportunity.

We have been asked to participate in a well-deserving fundraiser. MyCentralJersey.com Snapple Bowl XX will take place July 18 at Kean University in Union. Kickoff is 7 p.m. All the proceeds go to Children’s Specialized Hospital and the Lakeview School.

It is the 20th anniversary. The football game features recently graduated high school players and cheerleaders from Union and Middlesex counties. Most came through our Central Jersey Pop Warner program.

Snapple Bowl founder and game director Marcus Borden is starting a new program called the “Future All-Stars.” This is a terrific program which gets our kids involved with a real special cause.

Any Pop Warner participant who is wearing their game jersey or cheer shell and is accompanied by a paying adult will be given a free “Future All-Stars” T Shirt and will be admitted to the game for free. Each participant must have a paying adult with them to receive the free entry and T-shirt.

This is a great opportunity to see our top high school athletes perform on the field – both football players and cheerleaders. It also starts our kids thinking about charitable events that help other people.

Please support this great cause and show your child or players where they could be a few years from now!

Jim Simmons

President, Central Jersey Pop Warner
