Port Clinton’s boys golf team combined for nine birdies in a Sandusky Bay Conference victory at Oak Harbor Golf Club.
Joey Kurtz earned medalist honors with three birdies, including two in a row for a 3-under 33. Shane Meek also had three birdies and finished at 35.
“Joey was as good as he’s ever been and Shane darn near matched him,” Redskins coach Rick Dominick said. “Those two certainly set the pace for us.”
Mitchell Mueller had one birdie and shot a 39 while Austin Krupp had one and finished at 42. Freshman Anthony Paradiso matched Krupp at 42 while Ashton Barton had one birdie.
“Considering the heat, I am really pleased with how well we played,” Port Clinton coach Rick Dominick said. “The boys did a great job of staying focused. Mitchell put together a good round and the other three also scored well.”
Andy Rathbun shot a 43 for the Rockets while Ryan Pavlica added a 44 with one birdie. James Malin carded a 45 and Jake St. Clair a 49.
