Poudre girls soccer beats Greeley West

The Poudre girls soccer team took care of Greeley West on Wednesday, beating the Spartans, 2-0.

The Impalas jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back off the foot of Anne Lonowski, who scored in the sixth minute thanks to an assist from Flo Laurelles.

Kaili Schroeder also scored for Poudre (3-2-1) in the 33rd minute with Lonowski on the assist.

Poudre got a boost in goal from sophomore keeper Rachel Banister, usually the junior varsity goalie, recording a shutout.

Poudre will play Rocky Mountain on Thursday at French Field.
