Union City boys’ basketball

The Chargers’ 6-foot-7 senior center recorded his second career triple-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and a staggering 12 blocks along with three steals and three assists in Union City’s win over Reading. Fraley is averaging 16.9 points, 12.6 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game as the Chargers are off to a 7-1 start this season.

The senior 152/160-pounder went 4-1 at the Springport Duals Invite over the weekend. Then in dual action last week, the 2012 state qualifier got a pin in 32-seconds during a victory over Lake Odessa-Lakewood, followed by a 8-2 decision in a loss to Division 2 sixth-ranked Niles.

Colon girls’ basketball

Adams and Craun have been a dangerous combo for the Magi. In an overtime win over White Pigeon, Adams scored a career-high 32 points, including the game-winning free throws, while Craun hit the glass for 20 rebounds to go with her seven points. In a league win over Tekonsha, Craun posted career-highs of 20 points and 24 rebounds, while Adams scored 17 points to go with five rebounds.
