The Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team scored one run in the first inning and never looked back in a 5-3 home win over De Pere on Saturday.
The Ships added four in the fifth inning to lead 5-0 before the Redbirds scored three in the sixth inning.
Brennan Mrotek earned the win as he pitched five innings and collected four strikeouts while walking two.
Mrotek helped his cause by going 2-for-3 with an RBI while teammate Nick Spurney was 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
Also for the Ships, BJ Anderson was 1-for-3 with two-RBI single.
Lincoln (2-0) next will host Sheboygan South on Tuesday.
