Prep baseball: Manitowoc outhit by Menasha

The Manitowoc American Legion baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t capitalize on opportunites when they presented themselve in a 6-2 loss to visiting Menasha on Sunday.

Manitowoc left the bases loaded in the fourth inning and two runners on in the fifth as Menasha chipped away scoring at least one run in all but the first and fifth innings.

Nick Spurney, Wesley Pautz and Dylan Urbanek each went 2-for-3 to pace the Legion offensively.

B.J. Anderson took the loss for Manitowoc, lasting three plus innings allowing four runs — all earned — with four walks and no strikeouts.

Manitowoc returns to action today at host Wrightstown.
