DE PERE – Corey Steier’s double in the eighth inning drove in the winning run as West De Pere defeated New London 9-8 on Monday in a Bay Conference baseball game.
Brendan Meissner was the winning pitcher, Steier had three hits and two doubles and Sam DeRuyter went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Phantoms (8-2, 6-0 Bay).
The second game of the doubleheader was suspended in the fifth inning with West De Pere leading 9-2.
Seymour 2-12, Shawano 1-2
SHAWANO – Nate Zeise pitched a complete game, striking out 14, as Seymour rallied from an early one-run deficit to win Game 1.
Kennan Moehring and Bret Rottier each had two hits for the Thunder.
In Game 2, Brandon Berg was the winning pitcher and Moehring had two hits and drove in three runs for Seymour.
Oconto Falls 0
OCONTO FALLS – Derek Klegin pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts as Marinette (5-3) blanked Oconto Falls.
Hortonville 12-16, Denmark 1-1
HORTONVILLE – Polar Bears pitchers struck out 15 batters and didn’t walk a batter in the doubleheader sweep. Dan Borek struck out nine in the opener, while Mitch Lillge fanned six in the nightcap.
FISH CREEK – Grant Frazer pitched five innings, allowing two runs and striking out eight, to lead Oconto.
Frazer went 4-for-4 and Kyle Krueger added three hits for the Blue Devils.
Jack Brennan had three hits and stole three bases for Gibraltar.
Sevastopol 15-2, Kewaunee 6-3
INSTITUTE – Cody Giesseman pitched three hitless innings in relief to get the win for Sevastopol in Game 1.
Drew Tanck and Brody Peschke each went 3-for-5 for the Pioneers.
In Game 2, Alex Mehn allowed three hits and struck out six in five innings of work to pick up the victory for the Storm.
Coleman 11-15, Gillett 0-5
COLEMAN – Mason Mergener, Nick Sailer and Blake Marois combined on a five-inning no-hitter and Trevor Seewald had three hits in Game 1.
In Game 2, Jackson Margis and Alex Stodola each had three hits for Coleman.
Peshtigo 4, Crivitz 2
CRIVITZ – Derek Koronkiewicz hit a go-ahead, two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to propel Peshtigo.
Jordan Berth struck out 15 in 92/3 innings to get the win.
The second game of the doubleheader was suspended due to darkness with Crivitz leading 2-0 in the sixth inning.
Bonduel 6-9, Stevens Point Pacelli 5-14
BONDUEL – Derek Liebergen went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs and Barrett Bohm was the winning pitcher to lead Bonduel in Game 1.
In the second game, Liebergen and Trevor Homan each had three hits for the Bears (3-1).
