The hits just keep on coming for Sheboygan South’s baseball team.
The Redwings pounded out 17 of them Monday in a 12-7 non-conference win on the road at Manitowoc.
“We’ve been swinging the bats pretty good,” South coach Craig Kloes said.
In a doubleheader sweep of Ashwaubenon on Saturday, South (3-1) combined for 25 hits in the two games and outscored the Jaguars 24-3.
Monday night, South had six different players record at least two hits, as a seven-run fourth inning put the Redwings in control.
John Raff and Carter Amundsen each had three hits, while Brandon Nelson, Conner Harrison, Robert Hoffmann and Tanner Reklaitis had two apiece.
Tyler Zietz earned the win, allowing just two runs in five innings of work.
South’s next game is at home on Thursday against Manitowoc.
