Prep basketball: Fulton now 7-1 after victory

BATH – Freshman Colton Antes buried six 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 22 points as Fulton beat Bath 66-42 on Wednesday night in a CMAC game.

The Pirates led 23-10 after one quarter, but Bath battled back and got the game down to 25-24 Fulton with about three minutes to play in the first half.

Then Fulton (7-1, 4-1) went on a 9-1 spurt to end the half and wrestled control of the game back further with a 21-9 third quarter.

“We got away a little bit from some of the things we did early and our shot selection wasn’t real great for about a four or five minute stretch there and they hit some shots,” Fulton coach Todd Walden said. “It was good to end the first half on a little run like that to give us a little confidence back.”

Junior Nathan Davis added 15 points for the Pirates while junior Dalton Trefil finished with 10 points for Fulton.

Senior Jeff Dempsey had nine points and 11 rebounds for Bath (2-4, 2-2).
