The high school basketball season isn’t over yet.
At least, it’s not over for Ethan Guske and Nicole Paulus — and it won’t be until June.
Both are expected to play later this year in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games.
Guske, a scoring machine on Sheboygan North’s team this winter, is scheduled to play June 15 with the Division 1 North boys team.
Paulus, who played on Random Lake’s girls team this year, is slated to appear a day earlier on the Division 4 North team.
The honor is the latest in a string of accolades for Guske, who last month was named to the coaches association’s All-State team before earning an honorable mention nod on the Associated Press’s All-State roster.
He averaged 22 points per game and helped lead the Golden Raiders to an unexpectedly high finish — tied for third place — in the Fox River Classic Conference. He finished his senior year as Sheboygan North’s all-time leading scorer.
Paulus averaged 16.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game this year and was a unanimous first-team All-Central Lakeshore Conference pick.
Wisconsin Basketball coaches association members select coaches each year for the all-star games. Those coaches in turn select players to fill their rosters.
