Green Bay Southwest bolted to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and defeated Appleton East 49-20 on Saturday afternoon in a nonconference girls basketball game at Southwest.

Natisha Hiedeman scored 20 points and Clare Zakowski added 14 for the Trojans (5-1).

Appleton East fell to 5-3.
