The host Kiel boys basketball team made crucial free throws down the stretch to hold off Ozaukee on Tuesday 56-49.

Kiel went 17-for-21 from the line while Ozaukee was 10-for-23.

“Our free throws pretty much won us the game,” said Kiel coach Jamie Arenz.

Carter Voelker scored a game-high 19 points for Kiel while teammate Jacob Winkel added a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Kiel visits Plymouth next Tuesday.

Dexter Smith led Two Rivers with a team-high 20 points and six 3-pointers and was joined in double figures by teammates Ethan Willman (12) and Brayden Petersen (14).

Two Rivers returns to action on Saturday when it visits Manitowoc Lincoln.
