The host Roncalli boys basketball team led 44-19 at halftime en route to the 75-41 victory over Reedsville on Tuesday.

The Jets got a game-high 19 points from Nick Stelzer while teammates Josh Erickson (12), Andrew Ahola (11) and Shane Johnson (10) were also in double figures.

Roncalli took control of the game with 13 3-pointers on 35 attempts while holding Reedsville to 0-for-7. It was Stelzer and Ahola who did the most damage, making four and three shots from long range, respectively.

Brock Gilsdorf led the Panthers with 15 points while teammate AJ Hynek added eight.

Both teams return to action next Tuesday when Reedsville hosts Wrightstown and Roncalli visits Manitowoc Lutheran.

The Vikings jumped out to a quick 22-12 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in the home win.

A high-powered Valders offense scored at least 22 points in every quarter and had five players in double figures. Forrest Fenlon led the way for the Vikings with 20 points followed by teammates Thomas Schwoerer (14), Paxton Korslin (13), Tyler Miller (12) and Zach Goedeke (11).

Valders hosts Mishicot next Tuesday.

The host Lancers fended off the Zephyrs late to win their Olympian Conference opener.

Lutheran led 41-37 after three quarters but trailed by one with just over two minutes to play. The Lancers, who had led the whole way previously, responded with an 11-0 run to close out the visitors.

“I’m pleased with how we finished,” said Lutheran coach Tim Lindloff. “We responded well after losing the lead and finished strong.”

Tanner Krueger led the Lancers with 19 points while teammate Jared Muench (18) was right behind. Adam Schwede (10) was also in double figures for Lutheran. Muench and Krueger were potent from beyond the arc, with Muench hitting a team-high four 3-pointers and Krueger draining a pair of his own.

Lutheran hosts Roncalli next Tuesday.
