Two Rivers tied for seventh on Thursday at the rain-shortened, 15-team, Manitowoc Lincoln-hosted Fox Hills National.
Due to inclement weather the tournament was shortened, and to make it official, officials found out how many holes each player finished and then determined the lowest number of holes completed, which was 11.
From there, everyone’s score against par determined the amount over par each player was through each player’s first 11 holes, with that number being the amount over par each player was.
“It was quite a mess as you could imagine, but we made it work and overall had a successful day,” said Max Ashenbrener, Branch River assistant golf professional-social media director, in an email.
Medalists and team places from the scores against par were then calculated, with Two Rivers finishing with 51 along with Appleton North. Manitowoc Lincoln was right behind at 52, which was good for ninth, and Kiel finished at 78 to tie for 12th.
Individually Two Rivers was led by Dayne Rusch, who tied for sixth with a score of six while Lincoln’s Sasha Oosting tied for 13th with an eight. Kiel’s Nathan Voitech led the Raiders by finishing tied for 44th with an 18.
