Prep boys hoops: Last-second heroics propel Perry to victory

By

PERRY — Larry Bogner scored six points in the final 10 seconds of overtime, including three free throws with no time remaining, as Perry stunned Mt. Morris 57-56 in a GAC Red boys basketball game on Friday.

The Ramblers (4-4, 3-3) trailed by three points when Bogner tied it with a 3-pointer at 54 all. But after a timeout, Tyler Patterson’s layup put Mt. Morris back in front with three seconds left.

Perry then inbounded the ball and Bogner attempted a desperation three. The shot didn’t fall but Bogner was fouled, sending him to the line. He hit all three to clinch the win and finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Gabriel Woodworth added 15 points for the Ramblers.
