Prep boys soccer: Lincoln routs Freedom

The Manitowoc Lincoln boys soccer team defeated host Freedom on Thursday 5-0 with all five goals coming from five different players.

Sander Hansen scored an unassisted goal in the 14th minute before Drake Nickels, the Ships normal goalkeeper, knocked one in in the 26th minute assisted by teammate Eric Fogltanz to give Lincoln a 2-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, Jacob Lembke found the back of the net in the 42nd assisted by Mike Jaeger, who also connected with Mitchell Belisle in the 60th. The final Ships’ goal was an unassisted score by Austin Haupt in the 70th minute.

Lincoln (11-10, 4-7 Fox River Classic Conference) visits Oshkosh West on Tuesday in the WIAA Boys State Soccer Tournament Division 1 Regional Opener.
