Random Lake’s Delaney Sinnen outpaced her runner-up by nearly a minute, taking first place individually in Thursday’s Central Lakeshore Conference championship cross country meet.

Sinnen finished the girls race in 14 minutes, 35 seconds, helping the Rams girls team to a fourth-place finish behind champion Cedar Grove-Belgium, Howards Grove and Sheboygan Lutheran.

Oostburg’s Adam Daane finished first among the boys, but Sheboygan Lutheran placed all five scoring runners in the top 11 to win the team crown.

Second-place finisher Tess Leibham (15:22) paced Lutheran’s girls team. Lily Paul, meanwhile, led a strong contingent from Cedar Grove, finishing third overall (15:59) and getting strong follow-up performances by fifth-place finisher Molly Ison (16:27) and Sydni Loose (16:35).

All five scoring runners for Cedar Grove’s girls team finished in the top 11: 10th-place finisher Elysia Hoopman finished the race in 17:01, while 11th-place finisher Emily Sass came in just behind at 17:01.

Howards Grove’s Ashley Reinemann helped round out the top five individual finishers; she came in fourth, at 16:05.

Daane finished in 17:21 to lead the second-place Dutch. Teammates Justin Molter (17:53) and Jordan Molter (18:20) followed in fifth and eighth place, respectively.

Jake Jurss led the Crusaders with a second-place overall finish (in 17 minutes, 25 seconds), while Jacob Ames (seventh place, 18:02); Christian Steinert (ninth, 18:21); Lucas Parmley (10th, 18:21); and Luke Burkart (11th, 18:30) followed close behind.

Rounding out the top five boys individual spots were Cedar Grove-Belgium’s Peter Merritt (third, 17:29), and Howards Grove’s Eric Dvorachek (fourth, 17:46).

Fox River Classic

Trevor Damkot paced Sheboygan North’s boys cross country team with a second-place finish in Thursday’s Fox River Classic Conference championship meet.

His 16 minute, 7.32 second performance helped push the Golden Raiders to a fifth-place finish overall in the 11-team meet. Teammate Shamus Zenk finished fourth, in 16:37.

Eric Fischer (seventh place, 16:44) and Zach Klokow (eighth, 16:44) helped pace Sheboygan South’s boys team, which took eighth place in the team standings.

Ayanna-Mona Stewart led North’s girls team with a 19th-place finish (15:59), helping push the Raiders to a fifth-place finish overall in the team standings.

South’s Karli Noll finished 36th (16:36) in the girls race to hand the Redwings a 10th-place finish.
